WE ARE DUCK FIRE
The Duck Fire Department is located on the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina in the Town of Duck. The Town has a year-round population of 520 which increases to over 25,000 during the peak season months of April through October. Duck is a combination department with a career Chief, Deputy Chief, officers and firefighters who supplement the volunteers. Together they who serve the Town's residents in the event of an emergency.
Duck responds to an average of 600 emergency calls a year which consist of: emergency medical; fire suppression; automobile accidents; and ocean rescue. The Department has a county wide mutual aid agreement including Corolla.
Duck Fire is always looking for individuals who are willing to serve the Town as volunteer firefighters. There are many emergency roles that can be filled by volunteers.
