Beach Fires Prohibited

 
It is unlawful for any person to start or set a fire on the ocean or sound beaches in the Town of Duck. Additionally, the Town of Duck and Dare County Code state that other open burning shall require a permit and will be regulated as provided by North Carolina Law.

Fireworks and Beach Fires

While the sale of legal fireworks in Duck is permitted, the use of any and all fireworks (this includes sparklers, smoke bombs, snake pellets, etc.) is prohibited in Duck. Beach fires are also illegal. The use of fireworks is punishable by a $250.00 fine. The Duck VFD will be educating the public while enforcing the ordinance.
